It is a popular plant and herb sold in many countries around the world.
Lavender is native to the old world and is found from the Cape Verde and Canary Islands, Southern Europe.
It is also prevalent across to northern and eastern Africa, the Mediterranean, southwest Asia to southeast India.

So can chinchillas eat lavender?
No they can’t at all unfortunately.
Lavender is very harmful for chinchillas and will hurt them if they do happen to eat it.
