Can Chinchillas eat Rosemary?

Rosemary is a herb which is often used in cuisine dishes such as lamb, chicken, or game meats as well as in bean or fish dishes. Rosemary has an aroma that is intense and has light blue or pink flowers and dark green needle like leaves which are silver underneath.

So can chinchillas eat rosemary at all?

Lets take a look by checking out its nutritional data, in particular its calcium, sugar, acidic, phosphorus and fat content are of particular interest as far as chinchillas are concerned.

As you can see rosemary contains a lot of calcium and fat content. This completely rules it out for chinchillas as it is totally bad for them. If consumed it would make them ill so it is really not worth feeding it to them at all.
