Raisins are a dried grape and produced in many regions of the world. They are eaten raw and also used cooking, brewing and baking.
So can chinchillas eat raisins?
Lets take a look by checking out their nutritional data, in particular their acidic, calcium, sugar, fat, and phosphorus is most pertinent as far as chinchillas are concerned.
As you can see raisins contain a lot of phosphorus, a little calcium, a lot of acidic content, and a huge amount of sugar. This completely rules them out for chinchillas unfortunately as they are very bad for them. Some owners feed them as treats but this is a bad idea.
