Pineapples are a tropical plant that are grown in sub tropical regions around the world. They are consumed fresh, cooked, juiced and preserved and are used in a wide array of culinary dishes.

So can chinchillas eat pineapple at all?

As you can see pineapples contain a hint of phosphorus, calcium, but a lot of acidic content, and are very sweet.

This means that unfortunately chinchillas cannot eat pineapple as it just too sweet and acidic for them. It will give them tummy problems if they eat it and will make them sick or worse if they have a lot of it.

It is worth keeping pineapple away from them.
