Peanuts are a popular snack food that are eaten around the world. They are not nuts at all, but in fact are legumes. They come in all grown and then packaged and come in all kinds of different flavours such as salted and roasted.
So can chinchillas eat peanuts at all?
Lets take a look at their nutritional data and find out more. In particular, their acidic, phosphorus, calcium, sugar, and fat content is most pertinent to chinchillas.
As you can see peanuts contain a huge amount of phosphorus, and acidic content. They also contain quite a bit of calcium.
This means that chinchillas cannot eat peanuts at all. They are extremely bad for them to eat and should be avoided at all costs as they will make them ill if not worse.
