Orange peel is the skin that contains the flesh of an orange so that it does not get bruised or contaminated when it is growing on an orange tree.
It has a rubbery texture and can be peeled by hand.
Humans usually discard the peel before eating the orange as it is too sour to taste.
So can chinchillas eat orange peel?
Unfortunately they can’t at all. It is just too acidic for them to eat and should be avoided as a food for them to eat.
They will get stomach ache if they eat it due the amount of acidic content that it contains.
