Mint is a herb that is grown and is then stored fresh or is dried. It is a very popular herb and is often used in teas, beverages, jellies, syrups, candies, and ice creams.
It is also used in non-culinary situations such as in essential oils and menthol and also in flavourings such as breath fresheners, drinks, antiseptic mouth rinses, toothpaste, chewing gum, desserts, and candies, such as candy and mint chocolate.
So can chinchillas eat mint?
Unfortunately they can’t at all. It will make them sick as mint is too acidic for them to eat. A food to avoid feeding them.
