Honeysuckles are arching shrubs or twining bines which are native to the Northern Hemisphere.
There are approximately 180 species of honeysuckle which have been identified around the world.
They are very much valued as garden plants because of their ability to cover unsightly walls and outbuildings.
They are hardy climbing types and need their roots in shade, and their flowering tops in sunlight or very light shade. (source)
