Green peppers or otherwise known as green bell peppers or sweet peppers and are also found in red, yellow, orange, green, chocolate/brown, vanilla/white, and purple. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent pepper varieties as “sweet peppers.” Peppers are native to Mexico, Central America and northern South America.

So can chinchillas eat green peppers?

As you can see green peppers contain a little phosphorus, a hint of calcium, a little acidic content, a hint of sugar and fat.

This means that yes they can eat green peppers. Just don’t give them too much but they are good veggies for chinchillas to eat. Just strip out the core and the seeds and feed them the skin and outer flesh.
