Figs are the fruit of the fig tree and are grown in temperate climates all across the world. They are a fruit that is grown to be eaten fresh or dried and are often used in jam making.
So can chinchillas eat figs at all?
Lets take a look at their nutritional data and find out more.
In particular, their acidic, fat, calcium, sugar, and phosphorus content is of particular interest as far as chinchillas are concerned.
As you can see figs have quite a lot of acidic content, calcium, and phosphorus in them.
Unfortunately chinchillas cannot eat figs at all. The content in them is just too bad for them and a fig will hurt them if they eat them, so they are definitely a food to avoid feeding them.
