As you can see cherries contain a hint of phosphorus, calcium, acidic content and fat. However they do contain a lot of sugar.

So they are not the best food for chinchillas to eat and are best avoided. Especially as they also contain stones which may cause chinchillas to choke if they get lodged in their throats. Not to mention, the stones are toxic for chinchillas.

If they do happen to nibble at it then they should be fine but anything more than that may cause a stomach upset.
