As you can see cashew nuts contain a hint of fat and an extraordinary amount of fat. This means that unfortunately chinchillas cannot eat cashew nuts at all.

They are just too bad for them and will hurt them if they are eaten. They are best avoided as far as chinchillas are concerned.
