As you can see bell peppers contain a little phosphorus, a hint of calcium, a little sugar and a little acid.

This means that bell peppers can be eaten by chinchillas and are good for them. They can make a good supplement to their diet of hay and pellets.

However they should only be fed in small amounts every other day because of their phosphorus, acidic, sugar and calcium content. They are a treat for them and your chinchilla will love them.

When you do feed it to them, make sure you strip away the core and the seeds and just feed the outside.

They can eat any of the colours whether they be red, purple, green, yellow, orange or pale. They are only the same vegetable at different stages of maturity.
