Bay leaves are aromatic leaves of several plants which are used for cooking. These include Bay laurels, California bay leaves, Indian bay leaves, Indonesian bay leaves, West Indian bay leaves, or Mexican bay leaves.
They were used for flavouring by the ancient Greeks and it is used in many different European cuisines as well as in America. They are often used in stews, soups, meat, seafood, vegetable dishes and sauces. They are often used whole and removed before serving.
So can Chinchillas eat Bay leaves?
Unfortunately, they cant at all. Chinchillas just cant handle the flavour of them and they are far too potent for them to consume.
They are best kept away from them.
