Avocados are a fruit that is often eaten as part of a salad or a cooked meal.
They are often grown in tropical and Mediterranean climates and have a hard rubbery skin, a green/white flesh and a kernal in the middle.
So can chinchillas eat avodado, and if they can how much can be eaten?
Lets take a look at the nutritional data, in particular its phosphorus, calcium, acidic, fat, and sugar content.
As you can see avocados contain a lot of phosphorus, a little calcium, but are very acidic. This means that chinchillas cannot eat avocados. They are very bad for them and will cause them harm if they eat too much of them, in particular they may get a stomach upset and become sick.
